What are the controls and shortcuts to play Adventure Academy?

The controls you use to navigate Adventure Academy will vary depending on whether you are using a desktop or laptop computer or a mobile device. A tutorial is offered to players when they first log in to Adventure Academy that teaches you these controls and movements.

For Desktop or Laptop Users

How to move your Avatar around Adventure Academy:

• The W, A, S, and D keys.
• The arrow keys.
• Use the left click of a mouse or trackpad.
  • Click the ground area where you want to move to.

How to move the camera:

• Use the right click of a mouse and move the mouse to turn the camera.
• Use the right click of a trackpad and make a movement on the trackpad to turn the camera.

For Mobile Users

How to move your Avatar around Adventure Academy:

• Hold and drag the cursor icon using the left half of the screen.
• Double-tap the ground area you want to move to.

How to move the camera:

Moving the camera adjusts what you can see within the game, so you can look towards your Avatar, from behind, from the sides, up or down. Here’s all you need to do: 

• Use the right half of the screen to move the camera.
  
  

Shortcuts for Desktop or Laptop Users

For players who are using a desktop or laptop computer to play Adventure Academy, they can use keyboard shortcuts in addition to the in-game icons.

Listed below is the full list of shortcuts:

PC Computers:

• WASD or the arrow keys – Moves your Avatar
• Num Lock – Auto-run
• Enter – Maximizes your Chat window and selects the Chat bar
• M – Opens/closes the Map
• I – Opens/closes your inventory
  • While your Inventory is open, you can also use the tab key to switch categories.
    • Tab – switches your Inventory categories to the right
    • Tab + Shift – switches your Inventory categories to the left
• P – Opens/closes your Player Profile
• F – Opens/closes your Friends List
• Q – Opens/closes your Quest Log
• E – Opens/closes your Emote Menu
  • 1, 2, 3, and 4 selects the respective shortcut Emotes set
• Esc – Logs you out of your Avatar if in-game, and closes Adventure Academy if on the Select Character/Log In screens
• Page Up/Page Down – Scrolls up/down one page in navigable menus

Mac Computers:
