Chatting with Other Players – Adventure Academy

You'll find the Chat icon in the lower left-corner of the screen in-game. Simply click the icon at any time to start chatting.
Clicking the Chat icon opens the Chat Feature and gives you a number of options. The first tab is General. That’s where you’ll see messages from other players that are not private. You can type your own general message in the text box at the bottom.
Click on the message icon in the lower-left corner of the chat window, and then click the text box which now says Select your message (where the red arrows are pointing below) if you’d like to choose from a number of pre-written message options in various categories, like Greetings, Questions, Answers, and more.

Note: Players whose chat settings are for Limited Chat can only use these options and only respond to these pre-written messages.
If you want to add an emoji to your chat, all you need to do is click the emoji icon to the left of the text box and scroll through all the fun options to find the perfect one for the occasion.
Whether you type your own chat message, select a pre-written message, or pick an emoji, you send your chat simply by hitting the return/enter key on your keyboard or tapping/clicking the green send icon to the right of the message box. You'll see your chat icon and message on the screen now.
The other category of chat that’s available to you is Private chat. If you click on another player’s avatar you will open a menu where you can choose to learn about the other player, wave, invite the player to play a game, or initiate a chat. Click the chat icon to send a private/direct message. Keep in mind, not everyone will respond to these requests and some players will have a Limited Chat setting, which means they can only use the pre-selected messaging options and can only respond to others who use those those Limited Chat messages.
You can also click on the Profile icon to learn more about an avatar and initiate a Friend Request.
From this profile screen, you’ll see the ID for this user, the Level they are on, icons to Report or Block the User (in the upper-right), and a green Add Friend button (in the lower-left). Click that button to send a Friend Request. Again, keep in mind that not all users will accept requests.
Once you have Friends, you can initiate chats with them by opening the Chat Feature and clicking the plus (+) button in the upper-right on the Private tab.
You’ll now see a list of all your Friends. Click the green Message button for the Friend you’d like to chat with.
Whenever you are done chatting for the moment, simply click the back arrow in the upper-left of the chat window to close it and resume your adventure!
