Where can I see the Chat History for my child?

To see the Chat History for your child, all you need to do is open the Chat feature for your child’s Avatar, click on any of the tabs at the top, and scroll through any messages from players that are listed on the right.

Steps to see a Chat History

1. Open Adventure Academy and click the green arrow under your child’s Avatar on the Select Character screen. Keep in mind, there may be more than one Avatar. 
   
   
   
   
2. Once in the game, select the Chat icon.
   
   
   
   
3. The Chat Feature will open. It will either have 2 or 3 tabs at the top of the window:
   
   
   • General tab: General Chat is not a one-on-one conversation. It is broadcast to everyone in the area a player is currently visiting, so the contents will depend on any current messages sent by players who happen to be around your child's Avatar. These broadcasted chats from one area are not saved when the Avatar moves to another area. 
   • Private tab: The Private Chat tab is where players can chat with each other individually. This is typically where you will find a history of you child’s chats with other players.
   • Club tab: Club Chat is only available to players who are in the same Club. If your child isn’t in a Club, then this Chat tab will not appear within the Chat Feature. These chats are not one-on-one but contain all the messages from Club members to other Club members.
     
     
4. Viewing any available history for each tab is simple:
    
   • Private Chat History: Select the Private tab at the top of the Chat Feature. The Avatar names for all the players your child has chatted with are listed on the right. Click on the name of any player and scroll down through the chat messages. You will see dates and times for each message.
   • Club Chat History: If available, select the Club tab at the top of the Chat Feature. Scroll down through the chat messages sent by all club members. There are no dates and times listed for these messages.
   • General Chat (no History): General Chats are location-specific and delete in real time. These messages are not saved for later viewing, so there will be no history to review.

A reminder about Chat safety: Our Chat system employs filters intended to prevent the communication of personal information (for example, full name, address, telephone, etc.) and age-inappropriate words or phrases. We encourage users to block or report players who break the rules.
